Kamana Sanctuary Resort and Spa Subic…Disgusting

The Plan to Kamana Sanctuary Resort and Spa

It’s the first day of June. Me and my husband have decided to go to the beach. Since its going to be rainy season soon… we want to take advantage of the free time we got and have a chance to spend time together alone at the beach. So, what my husband did was… he started searching the web. He found so many resorts but all of them are fully booked.

Then he stumbled upon Kamana Sanctuary Resort and Spa. Website is ok… meaning its decent but i’ve seen better. The photos of Kamana Sanctuary Resort and Spa website are breath taking. So, what my husband did was he called the main office and the first thing he asked is “if the beach is swimmable”. The person she talked to is named “Ma. Cecilia Lopez” and she said “yes!” and she also mentioned that there’s also a swimming pool. We wanted to go the beach to swim in the beach. Not in a swimming pool. So my husband didn’t really payed attention to the “swimming pool” part. My husband booked the same day.

Kamana Sanctuary Resort and Spa Day

Kamana Sanctuary Resort and Spa SubicWe arrived at Kamana Sanctuary Resort and Spa at exactly 2:00pm. As soon as we arrived, the receptionist gave us a guest card. We filled it up and gave it back to her. She took my credit card and start swiping it for the amount P5,300.00. My husband was like… “i called awhile ago and the main office said that since it’s June and it’s off-peak season the price is suppose to be P4,950.00″ and the other receptionist said “ya, its June already why did you charge them the peak season rate?” I told her to void it and give me a copy. Since she already charged my card and printed the charge slip twice then voided it and WTH! she is asking me to sign the void transaction?! Do they even know what they are doing? For God sakes! they don’t even know what the date is!

We checked in, payed full. They charged us P4,450.00/night and then they asked another fee… A deposit fee of another P3,000.00 and it’s refundable upon check out. After everything is done we went upstairs to check the room. I was so shocked… the room is not clean, and it’s still trashed by the previous guests. So, me and my husband had to go down to the reception again to change room. And they did. After we checked the room and everything is ok. We went to SBMA to have lunch.

Kamana Sanctuary Resort and Spa Horror Begins

On Kamana Sanctuary Resort and Spa front page sit it says… Majestic Mountaintops. Beautiful Beaches. Lush rainforests. All in one paradise. I totally agree about the Majestic Mountaintops & Lush rainforests but definitely not the Beautiful Beaches and All in one paradise. Why? After having our lunch at Xtremely Xpresso (which i highly recommend). We’ve decided to finally swim at the beach. So we quickly changed into our swim wear and went down.

Kamana Sanctuary Resort and Spa SubicWhile strolling along Kamana Sanctuary Resort and Spa beach… me and my husband slowly starting to get dissapointed.#1 theres a lot of rocks along the beach. #2 The sand is muddy then we got fully dissapointed when we saw a big dirty pipes beside the swimming area, a bag of trash, more trash and a rubber wheel and so on. Kamana Sanctuary Resort and Spa SubicRocks can be tolerated it’s normal and it’s nature. But trash?! also, we tried to follow where the pipes leads to… i think its the drainage pipes of the casitas room. Yes! drainage where all the human waste pass through and it’s beside the swimming area.

Kamana Sanctuary Resort and Spa SubicIt’s very dissapointing. All the photos in the Kamana Sanctuary Resort and Spa website are real except that of course they are not going to show the bad side… the very bad side of the resort. Kamana Sanctuary Resort and Spa for me is ok. The rooms are clean (and that’s important), the pool is nice but its very overcrowded that day. They have like so many rooms and i don’t think all the guest will be able to fit in that pool or lets just say half!

If you have a kid with you, will you seriously let your kid swim in that kind of beach? or makikisawsaw ka pa ba sa isang katutak na tao sa pool? not to mention meron pa dyan mag weeweewee?

Ok, moving along… as soon as we reached our room. I asked my husband “did you ask whoever you talked to if the beach is swimmable? he said “yes”. We were both pissed off and very dissapointed so what we did was we called the reception and informed them about what happen. And my husband asked nicely at the Kamana Sanctuary Resort and Spa reception if we can have a refund since its only 5:30pm and the room is untouched. And ya, as expected… they don’t do refunds. So ok. What can we do? Do we have a choice?

Kamana Sanctuary Resort and Spa SubicAfter 10 mins of the conversation with Kamana Sanctuary Resort and Spa reception i’ve decided to call their main office and talk to the person my husband talked to. Cecile. She is denying that my husband asked her about if the beach is swimmable. Aba! ginawa pang sinungaling ang asawa ko. So i asked for their supervisor and told him about what Cecile confirmed and this is not what we expected. Nothing close to it AT ALL. The manager’s name is “Paul” even him is telling me that the beach is swimmable and he is even proud of the pipes. I told him.. “all kinds of watered area are swimmable! even if baha sa manila makikita mo mga bata nag tatampisaw! ikaw ba maliligo ka sa ganon?!” no offense but we are not that kind of people na maliligo sa puro basurang beach! And he also mentioned that “this is not like boracay” like… WHAT THE HELL?! i know! we’ve been to White Rock, Grande Island beach Resort, Punta de Uian all of em are in subic and there is no freaking trash and huge drainage pipes along the beach! like seriously!

Instead of him telling us “were very sorry about this trouble blah blah blah” ok na eh! Kaso hinde… We do not care for the refund! 5,000.00 lang yan! it’s about how bastos this Paul and how stupid this Cecile person is! Super proud pa talaga sya about the pipe?! and we asked him… “when was the last time you’ve been here?” “have you even been here? in this resort?” well.. we didnt get an answer. If only ANY of them did apologize about ANY of the stupid things they did… you aren’t even going to read any of this.

And also, i forgot to mention that they hve a veranda and their veranda is insect infested! Well maybe its harmless but it looks like a HUUUGGEEE beetle. I understand that were in the middle of a forest but at least do something about it?! we can’t even open the veranda door and sit outside because of too much insects flying around. *sigh* I don’t know what to say anymore… you guys be the judge about Kamana Sanctuary Resort and Spa.
